Supporting the Statues

Bridgnorth Aluminium Ltd is one of the six businesses pledging to support the Bridgnorth Statue Trail project. The project, inspired by a successful initiative in Wolverhampton, aims to create a family attraction for residents and tourists alike by establishing a trail of fifteen statues around Bridgnorth and outlying areas, promoting the heritage, art and natural beauty of the town.

All of the statues will take the form of the iconic Catch Me Who Can steam locomotive – the world’s first fare-paying passenger engine, built in Bridgnorth – but each will have unique decorations, designed by local artists.

Regarding the project, Councillor Julia Buckley said:

“We are thrilled that so many local businesses have already committed to supporting the statue trail. It means the project is really on track and it is full steam ahead from now on.”

Statues will be showcased from Spring 2018 for up to five years.
