Account Coordinator - 12 month FTC

The Account Coordinator - FTC reports directly to the Sales Manager on a ‘day-to-day’ basis. The role sits within the Sales, Shipping and Marketing team within our business and will function as part of an efficient and productive team to provide outstanding customer service to the customer base whilst driving sales for the business.

Account Coordinator - FTC duties and responsibilities include; but are not limited to:

  • Complete understanding and compliance of our credit control procedures.
  • Account coordination of all nominated customer accounts and messenger between customers and the company, building trusting and professional relationships with customers, including face-to-face contact where necessary. 
  • Ensuring high quality performance in regards to customer needs, working to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensuring full knowledge of account co-ordination in regards to commercial issues, order progressing and customer performance metrics.
  • Providing Managers and relevant colleagues with all necessary customer information including any developments in the customer business, organisation and personnel.
  • Coordinating timely and effective responses to key issues; liaising with manufacturing, technical, planning and other departments as necessary.
  • Advising customers and Management of any adverse performance or delivery issues.
  • Vetting and accepting customer orders in accordance with sales agreements, technical specifications and agreed product mix.
  • LME pricing according to contractual terms and customer instructions, including logging of instructions, prices, volumes and delivery periods, and matching LME positions to invoiced sales.
  • Raising and following up on any commission payments to relevant customer accounts agents.
  • Providing strong support to the Sales & Marketing Manager in daily job function and customer contact.

Account Coordinator - FTC - Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential - Relevant qualifications at NVQ Level 2 or similar in business, customer service, sales administration
  • Essential - Computer literate with demonstrable experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Company business systems
  • Essential - Highly numerate and literate with the requisite GCSEs A-C or demonstrable skill level
  • Essential - Relevant and strong previous experience within a manufacturing supply chain
  • Knowledge of export processes, backed with Chamber of Commerce or Institute of Export training certs.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw relevant conclusions, additionally the ability to write concise and cogent reports would prove advantageous
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner
  • Capable of discussing technical product attributes with customers in a credible manner

Due to the nature of the business, the Account Coordinator - FTC should be aware that this position is based on our SITE in Bridgnorth and will require the successful applicant to attend site on a daily basis. Depending on the business, requirements (e.g., breakdowns, outage periods, etc.) additional hours or working approved overtime may be required to fulfil the duties of the role.
