Reporting to the Thermo-Mechanical Processing Manager within the Technology & Manufacturing Excellence Department, the focus of the Cold Rolling Process Engineer is to monitor, control, and optimize manufacturing processes, so as to ensure customer requirements are met.

Main Skills and Responsibilities:
§ Applying theoretical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems within the Cold Mill Department.
§ Demonstrating technical leadership through understanding the process and the customers’ needs.
§ Collaborating with other departments to enhance incoming and outgoing product quality.
§ Working together with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to improve process monitoring and control.
§ Developing practices, routines and solutions to help with the introduction of new products, and the optimization of existing products’ quality and yield.
§ Analyzing data to discover areas of potential improvement, and implementing new processes and workflows.
§ Monitoring auxiliary processes and activities, such as Roll grinding and Rolling oil management.
§ Assessing compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards and reporting to higher management about their findings and proposals.
Skills Essential for the Role:
§ Essential - Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy/Materials related degree.
§ Desirable – suited to a graduate with 3 year’s experience within a Manufacturing/Production environment.
§ Have the curiosity, determination and persistence to grow the capacity and capability of the team.
