Reliability Manager

To provide leadership and direction to the Department Engineers about Best Reliability and Asset Management practices. Reporting to the Senior Technical Services Manager with direct reports of Area Engineers, Condition Monitoring Engineer, Maintenance Planners and Site Services Manager.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Senior Management Team to change business culture and help transition the new Engineering structure.
  • To lead the site-wide Maintenance function in providing a proactive service on all operational infrastructures.
  • Responsible for increasing the site operational effectiveness, constantly improving project delivery, and implementing and monitoring improvement plans whilst driving KPIs.
  • To manage the team on a best practice standard whilst mentoring and leading.
  • To align and implement a proactive department strategy across the plant.
  • Responsible for developing training plans for their direct reports.
  • Responsible for managing and supporting reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Be committed to minimal downtime and drive Continuous Improvement through the organisation.


Skills Essential for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive Engineering experience in a similar field or industry.
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical and/ or Electrical engineering principles and practices in a relevant industry.
  • Ability to accurately compile, interpret, and use data and other information to address engineering problems.
  • Have a well-designed safety culture.
  • Have a hands-on mindset and be a self-motivated partner supporting the production operations.


Working Hours:
