Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance & Control Manager on a day-to-day basis and sits within the Quality Assurance & Control section of the Technology and Manufacturing Excellence Department.

Main Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Operating in accordance with all, Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management System standards the company is certified to (e.g. ISO9001, 14001 & 45001).
  • Sample preparation and routine material testing of mechanical properties (Tensile), earing quality (Erichsen), surface quality/roughness and electrical conductivity samples.
  • Residual oil weight loss checks.
  • Sample etching.
  • Release of product based on test results.
  • Review and reporting of customer complaint samples.
  • Compilation and reporting of testing data.
  • Carry out specific testing requests from Development, R&D, and QA sections of the Technical department.

Skills Essential for the Role:

  • GCSE in English Language, Math’s and Science Grade A – C (9 – 5).
  • Experience in mechanical testing of metal products specifically tensile testing, surface roughness measurements, and earing testing.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 4.30pm (4pm Fridays)
