Reactive Maintenance Shift Supervisor

The Reactive Maintenance Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the Reactive Maintenance Team, allocating appropriate skills and resources to deal with unscheduled work based on site priorities and criticalities. It is a site-wide role - shift based working 12hr shifts – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

§  Day to Day management of the resources of the Reactive Maintenance Team, ensuring sufficient resources are always available to deal effectively with site wide issues, in line with set site priorities.

§  Ensure all work is progressed in line with agreed site priorities and criticalities.

§  Ensure all repeat failures or areas of concern are clearly reported to the owning Departments Reliability Teams.

§  Set and maintain high standards for housekeeping in workshops, offices, mess rooms, vehicles, and areas of work on site.

§  Provide Tool Box talks at the start of the shift to their Team.

§  Feedback on the findings of the Safety Meetings to their Line Manager.

§  Provide written reports to the Departmental Operations Team following critical failures.

Skills Essential to the Role:

§  (Essential) Time served industrial Apprenticeship, plus 10 years’ relevant industrial experience.

§  (Desirable) Minimum HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline.

§   (Desirable) Degree in relevant engineering or scientific discipline.

§  (Desirable) Qualification in Management & Leadership – CMI Level 3 or higher (or similar).
