We take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously, using mostly renewable energy and supporting local causes

Sustainability and Social Responsibility

We actively reduce our impact on the environment by responsibly sourcing energy and minimising our carbon footprint. We also help to fund many local initiatives including trusts, charities and community organisations.

We go to great lengths to minimise our impact on the environment. A large percentage of our energy is sourced from a local Anaerobic Digestion Facility, relieving the pressure on landfills and reducing our carbon footprint. We also practice energy recuperation techniques, using the heat generated in our casting process to warm the degreasing chemicals in one of our process lines. The majority of rolling slabs that we process are cast using our own recycled process scrap and purchased raw metal ingots. Year on year, our energy usage per tonne of finished product is reducing.

Our environmental efforts have been recognised by the likes of Shropshire Wildlife Trust, who awarded us the Water Quality Blue Business Award (2015) for our rain water attenuation system.

Supporting our Community

Bridgnorth Aluminium Ltd gives generously to the local and wider community, widely supporting charitable organisations and initiatives. Hoping to extend our support further in 2017, we have increased our goodwill spending budget by almost 40% (compared to 2016). This will enable us to assist a greater number of good causes and offer additional support to our existing charitable partners. Please click on the images below to learn more about our efforts:
