Junior Production Operator - Cold Rolling

Your role as a Production Operator in the Cold Rolling environment will involve operating and monitoring equipment in the aluminum rolling process. Adhering to strict protocols to maintain safe working conditions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operating the rolling mills and related machinery to process aluminium coils according to the production schedules and quality standards required.
  • Monitoring the production line for any abnormalities or deviations and taking corrective actions to optimise efficiency and product quality.
  • Conducting routine machine inspections and reporting any issues to ensure optimal performance whilst minimising downtime.
  • Assisting in the setup and changeover of equipment for different product specifications.
  • Collaborating with all team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and resolve operational challenges.Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a production operator in a metal manufacturing or similar industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating rolling mills, slitters, and other equipment used in the aluminium rolling process is desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively.

 

Working Hours:                 41.25 hours per week Monday to Friday

Working pattern:             Rotating shifts of 05:45 – 14:00, 13:45 – 22:00 and 21:45 – 06:00

Salary Range:                    £27,300 plus shift allowance of £2.826.60

Reporting to:                     Production Supervisor
