Maintenance Engineer - Rolling

The Supervisor will lead the rolling team providing leadership, vision, and direction focusing and leading the team on site priorities of the workload and implementing permanent solutions. They will implement and drive continuous improvement into the business that involves the evaluation and revision of processes and methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the rolling team consisting of 9-12 reports to ensure full operational needs to meet key business KPI’s.
  • Develop improvement plans for the department, in-line with current Operational reliability issues.
  • Ensure all work is progressed in line with agreed set priorities, timescales, and criticalities.
  • Implementing and driving a 6-sigma approach to engineering, collaborating with a cross-functional team to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track team and project success.
  • Provide support for written reports (RCA’s) to the Departmental Operations Team following critical failures.
  • Provide support of current Capex and Revenue spends against budget to include monthly reports.

Requirements:

  • Essential - HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline.
  •  Essential -Proven experience of working in a metal or production manufacturing environment.
  • (Desirable) Qualification in Management & Leadership – CMI Level 3 or higher (or similar).
  •  (Desirable) 6 sigma Green – Black belt

 

Working Hours:                 Monday to Friday 36.25 Hours - Flexitime

Salary Range:                    £50,000 TO £60,000 per annum

Reporting to:                     Maintenance Manager
